This post should be called “Meanwhile in Athens” but the title says otherwise. Today I want to show you an all denim look, I’m wearing items from Hilfiger Denim Spring 2017 collection which we were introduced to, during our visit to their Athens showroom.

Tommy Hilfiger and the American denim reinvented

We shot a few looks inspired by the American designer’s philosophy and I think this look takes us back to Tommy’s early days when he used to experiment a lot with the denim. Vintage denim that is. Hilfiger’s entrepreneurial gifts, were evident ever since he was a young boy. As a teenager, he began buying jeans in New York City that he redesigned and sold for a markup in Elmira. When he was 18, he opened a store called The People’s Place in Elmira that sold hippie supplies like bell-bottoms, incense and records. Now, I’m sure you’ve seen the Tommy X Gigi collection and the good news is 2017 has a lot to offer, just stay tuned and I will keep posting at the right time.
